Trailer
This game has two players:
A player with a VR set, and a player in the real world.Â
The VR-Player
The VR Player explores the cave and has to find the pirate treasure. He will quickly realize, though, that he cannot do this alone. The cave has so many passageways that it can quickly become maze-like. Especially when the pirate treasure is found and the cave starts collapsing. This is where the Real-World Player comes in.Â
The Real World Player
The Real-World player's main job is to communicate with the player in VR and assist them by creating a map. This map can then be used to lead the VR player away from passageways that were already explored. Of course, when the cave is collapsing and the pressure rises, the map must also be used to lead the VR player to the exit.
Features I worked on
I was the developer on this project and created all the gameplay code using SteamVR in combination with an Oculus Quest 2.
These are some examples of features that I worked on:
VR locomotion and interaction
Audio design
Designing the interaction between the VR player and the Real World Player (For example, how the map is constructed)
